Welcome! I’m Rachael, and this is my little corner of the internet where creativity, curiosity, and real life come together.

I share a glimpse into my everyday life, along with favorite products and honest reviews you can trust. I’m a mom to an amazing baby girl, a fun-loving pup, and a couple of curious kitties who keep life lively and entertaining.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science and have worked in the scientific field with critically endangered animals. This experience profoundly shaped my passion for education and conservation. As a former science teacher with a lifelong love of learning, I’ve also spent over 10 years writing curriculum, collaborating with a wide range of universities, school districts, and National Geographic to create engaging, standards-aligned learning experiences.

Today, you’ll often find me sharing hands-on science experiments designed to spark curiosity in kids of all ages—and the adults learning right alongside them. When I’m not experimenting, I love getting creative through crafting and DIY projects, from kid-friendly activities to home builds and creative projects. I also enjoy gardening, traveling with my family, and finding inspiration in everyday moments.

In this photo, I am helping give an annual exam to a Nene. These birds are considered endangered at the state level, but the population has rebounded from just 30 birds in the 1950s to several thousand today due to successful conservation efforts.

Working on a BioBlitz, a community science project through iNaturalist, with some of my students. I love bringing real science into learning spaces so that every student realizes that they, too, can be scientists.

Family is at the heart of everything I do! My beautiful family has helped me grow in so many ways. I am inspired each day to embrace the beautifully messy moments that make everyday life special!
